| Keelung is Taiwan’s northern most city and second largest port. A big attraction is the Temple Street Night Market with over 300 food stalls (but we ate at McDonalds). |

| Pinghsi is an old mining town between Southern Taipei and Southern Keelung. After touring a few of the old miner’s buildings, we boarded a train and enjoyed the scenic tour. We stopped at a local restaurant to feast on a huge 10-12 course meal consisting of clams, shrimp, pork, soup, chicken, bamboo shoots, breaded mushrooms, beef, fish and a few other dishes that I don’t remember. I was filled after the first 5-6 courses, but the dishes kept coming so I kept eating… Later in the evening we all had the opportunity to make wishes and launch a few sky lanterns before heading back to the hotel. |
